Anna Paquin Bio:

Anna Helene Paquin started her acting career at the age of nine and quite by accident. While waiting for her sister's audition for the Jane Campion film The Piano, she was spotted by Campion and asked to read for the role. Her only previous acting experience had been as a skunk in a school play. At the age of eleven, Paquin became the second youngest actor to win an Academy Award. Paquin moved to Los Angeles in 1995, and started acting again in 1996 in the role of  young Jane Eyre in the film Jane Eyre.

In 2000, Paquin appeared in the film X-Men as the ability stealing mutant, Rogue. Paquin reprised her role in the second and third X-Men films. Her string of successes continued with her 2007 Emmy, Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild award nominations for her portrayal as Elaine Goodale in the HBO film Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee. In 2009, Paquin received a Golden Globe award for Best Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Sookie Stackhouse in the HBO Series True Blood.  In 2010, she married her True Blood co-star and on-screen romantic interest, Stephen Moyer.
