Kendall Jenner’s rise from reality star to runway model has been nothing short of astounding, and the love she’s received from the industry seems to be getting stronger by the day.
In addition to the numerous designers, including Marc Jacobs and Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci, who recently featured the 18-year-old Keeping Up With the Kardashians star in their runway shows, Kendall’s earning high praise from fellow models, like The Face judge Anne V.
The model (and Adam Levine’s ex) tells OK! Magazine of the young star, “I think she’s so beautiful. I am very happy that fashion is giving her such a big opportunity. I think overall, she’s a girl who works hard. I think she can go really far. I am really happy that people are giving her such a great season. It’s really awesome.”
While Kendall clearly has plenty of support from industry insiders like Anne and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, some are skeptical that Kendall’s career can last.
A source for RadarOnline.com recently reported that Kendall’s ties to the reality world may keep her from achieving her full potential as a model.
“She was advised that continuing to appear on reality television will diminish interest in her as a model,” says the source. “The problem also is scheduling. Kendall is contractually obligated to appear on the show and there is a huge time commitment involved.”
Do you think Anne is right about Kendall’s career? Does she have what it takes to stay in the industry, long-term?
