Apollo Nida to Cop a Plea Deal in His Bank Fraud Case?

Another day, another Real Househusband plea deal. Okay, so this one’s not a done deed yet, but it would appear that Real Housewives of Atlanta star Apollo Nida is closing in on an agreement with the feds in his bank fraud case — just weeks after Real Housewives of New Jersey hubby Joe Giudice did the same. Oh reality TV, what thou hath wrought.

Phaedra Parks’s husband was first charged with identity theft, bank fraud, and conspiracy back in late January, and one month later he petitioned the court to push his trial date back until late this month. The court granted his motion, and according to paperwork obtained by RadarOnline.com, Apollo and his attorneys have used the extra time to “engage in discussions” with the counsel for the government.

“They are still in the process of investigating additional facts and negotiating a resolution,” the docs state, and “have made substantial progress toward a resolution of this case.” In other words, we smell a plea right around the corner!

To allow for this deal to be hatched, the court allowed another extension to be imparted until April 25. The Househusband’s attorneys write that the extension will give him “sufficient time to consult with his counsel, investigate all facts material to resolving this matter, and continue said discussions with the government.”

So what does this mean? Should Apollo take the deal, he will likely be able to whittle down his sentence a bit, though we’re not sure whether that means less time served, probation, or something in-between. Whatever the case may be, we wish the best to the family, especially Phaedra and Apollo’s adorable children, Ayden and Dylan.

Do you think Apollo will serve time? Tell us in the comments below.
