Apollo Nida Loses Georgia Home Because He Didn’t Pay Taxes on It! (VIDEO)
Apollo Nida’s week just went from bad to worse.
On July 8, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star was sentenced to eight years in jail and five years on parole after committing identity theft and bank fraud and reaching a plea deal with prosecutors. Now we’ve learned when Apollo gets out of the clink in 2022 (yikes) he’ll have one less humble abode to return home to.
Per RadarOnline.com, Apollo actually lost one of his Georgia homes at public auction a day before he was sentenced to prison because he failed to pay taxes on it. Seriously, does this dude just walk around thinking the law doesn’t apply to him?!
The site got their hands on court docs, which confirm Apollo originally purchased the Atlanta home for $9,000 in 2010, but on May 6 someone bought the 4,687-square-feet home for only $2,800. So not only did Apollo lose his abode, it was sold out from under him at a massive loss. We’d say that this Househusband just can’t seem to catch a break, but the documents make it clear he brought all of this bad news on himself.
According to the court docs, the sheriff’s department held the sale to pay the “taxes owed, the interest and penalties on said taxes, and the expenses of the sale, all of which were mature and payable because of failure to pay same interest and penalties on said taxes” and the three-bedroom home was sold to the highest bidder at the local courthouse.”
We’d never thought we’d say this, but one upside of Apollo going to prison is that he doesn’t have to worry about what homes he does (and doesn’t) own in the outside world. It’s all about the silver lining, folks!
