Justin Bieber Apologizes for Racist Joke: It Was a “Childish and Inexcusable Mistake” (VIDEO)

Justin Bieber is getting quite a lot of experience at issuing apologies lately. The 20-year-old pop star's latest mea culpa addressed a recently released video of him saying a racist joke.

In the video, a then-15-year-old Justin tells a shockingly offensive joke in which he uses the n-word several times. To see the joke, click here.

Now, Justin is explaining himself to TMZ. "As a young man, I didn't understand the power of certain words and how they can hurt," he says. "I thought it was OK to repeat hurtful words and jokes, but didn't realize at the time that it wasn't funny and that in fact my actions were continuing the ignorance."

"Thanks to friends and family, I learned from my mistakes and grew up and apologized for those wrongs," Justin continues. "Now that these mistakes from the past have become public, I need to apologize again to all those I have offended."

Justin adds, "I'm very sorry. I take my friendships with people of all cultures very seriously and I apologize for offending or hurting anyone with my childish and inexcusable mistake. I was a kid then, and I am a man now who knows my responsibility to the world and to not make that mistake again."

There you go. Justin has apologized and is blaming the mistake in large part on his age. And now, the countdown begins for the next thing Justin does that requires him to apologize.

Do you accept Justin's apology? Or do you not think that the apology is sincere?
