UPDATE (5/23/17 at 7:23 a.m. ET):

Police now say 22 people were killed and 59 others were injured following an explosion outside Ariana Grande’s concert in Manchester, England on Monday, May 22.

Officials say the explosion occurred around 10:33 p.m. local time and the attack was carried out by a lone suicide bomber.

“The attacker, I can confirm, died at the arena. We believe the attacker was carrying an improvised explosive device, which he detonated, causing this atrocity,” Chief Constable Ian Hopkins said.

“We have been treating this as a terrorist incident and we believe, at this stage, the attack last night was conducted by one man. The priority is to establish whether he was acting alone or as part of a network.”

Following the devastating news, Ariana has suspended the remainder of her world tour indefinitely, according to TMZ.
