Ever since Justin Bieber was busted for a DUI and drag-racing in Miami Beach yesterday, we’ve been waiting to see if his pal (and our new fav R&B diva) Ariana Grande would weigh in on his actions. The chart-topper is known for her squeaky-clean, Nickelodeon-approved persona, so what did she have to say about her trouble-making peer? To start, she’s very upset by the news, and she’s not taking it lightly.

“I think it’s really serious,” Ariana said to Boston's Mix 104.1. “I’ve seen tweets of people making fun of the mugshot and all this stuff, and it’s so ignorant.” The 20-year-old songstress is referring to the number of fans and celebs, alike, that made wisecracks at the Biebs’ expense yesterday — particularly his oddly cheerful mugshot. While we can see how Justin is an easy target for jokes right now, we have to agree with our Ari that this is no laughing matter.

Ariana and Justin have been buddies for a while, as they both share the same manager, Scooter Braun. Avid fans of the “Right There” singer, aka Arianators, will remember that she caused a bit of an internet maelstrom last summer when she posted a photo of herself getting a kiss from Selena Gomez’s ex. But after seeing Justin’s recent behavior, she’s grown to be concerned about him.

“It’s gotten to a point where I just want him to be okay,” she admitted in the interview. “It’s this very serious thing. It’s not just like a kid who’s, you know screwing around, it’s dangerous. It’s very serious and upsetting.”

She admits that things started out silly, when Justin was pranking neighbors with eggs, but things have taken a turn. "I don’t think it’s funny anymore,” Ariana emphasizes again. “I mean, you could throw an egg at a house. Who the hell cares. Just shut up. That was annoying — don’t search somebody’s house.”

Ariana finishes things out by expressing her worry and support for her formerly-close friend. “It’s just the health part that is concerning to me, because he’s a great person and a very talented boy, and I want the best for him, so I just hope that he’s okay." Couldn’t have said it better ourselves!

What do you think of Ariana’s response to the situation? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below.
