For over a month, we’ve been left anxiously awaiting the release of “Don’t Be Gone Too Long,” Ariana Grande’s collaboration with Chris Brown. These two may seem like opposites on paper — he the legally troubled R&B bad boy, she the sugary sweet Nickelodeon pop diva — but there was just something about the idea of it that left us intrigued. Now, we’re just days away from the official release, and Chris’s team has dropped a dance teaser video that does not disappoint!

It might seem like this song has taken extra long to arrive on our virtual doorsteps because it was actually intended to drop in March. However, the fact that Chris is in jail awaiting his assault charges threw a wrench in those plans, and the track was pushed back. But no longer!

This one-shot video is of a dancer resembling Chris himself rocking out to the crazy catchy, club-ready tune. As for the song itself, it may be mostly a chorus without any verses, but it doesn’t really bother us? The beat is really great, Ari and Chris sound fantastic harmonizing together, and that fantasy novel artwork at the end is just TMTH (too much to handle).

No word yet on when the official single release will happen (though Chris’s album X drops May 5), but we predict this one will be a megahit. Now, if only Mr. Brown can get himself extricated from that prison cell to promote it…

What do you make of Chris and Rihanna’s new tune? Tell us in the comments below.
