Ariana Grande may be a mere little thing, but there’s nothing tiny about the rising pop star’s newest single. In fact, girl’s got a bit of a banger on her hands here. Case in point: This week, Ariana made history when her song “Problem” with Iggy Azalea landed the eighth-biggest debut of all time on the Billboard Digital Songs chart!

The collaboration between the R&B songstress and Australian up-and-coming rapper sold 438K copies in its first week, which made it the biggest chart debut of 2014 so far. Plus, it’s proving to the public that Ariana is just as viable a star as hitmaker Katy Perry, who was the previous “best first week” on the digital chart with “Roar” back in August.

Though the 20-year-old’s first album, Yours Truly, was certainly a respectable debut — its lead single “The Way” peaked at #9 on the Billboard Hot 100 — it seems like the added Iggy element has done wonders for both stars. The leggy blond MC is having her own chart surge, as well, with single “Fancy” jumping four spots to #2, with 222K copies sold. Girl power!

An added bonus: Pharrell Williams’s “Happy” was finally knocked to #3. Don’t get us wrong, we love the uplifting, Oscar-nominated tune, but it was time someone else grabbed the reins on this one.

So will this translate into killer sales on the rest of Ariana’s forthcoming sophomore album? Time will tell, but with announced collaborators like Zedd, Chris Brown, and even magic producers like One Republic’s Ryan Tedder, it seems pretty likely.
