It looks like Ariana Grande’s recent collaboration with Chris Brown may not be hitting the high notes she’d hoped for.
20-year-old Ariana, who teamed up with the troubled singer for single “Don’t Be Gone Too Long,” is feeling pretty bummed that the song’s release date seems to have been pushed back by the record company, thanks, at least in part, to the minor issue of Chris’ current incarceration.
While both Chris and Ariana had told fans on March 16 to start counting down the days until their single dropped, the day after the pair let their optimistic messages fly into the Twitterverse, Chris was sentenced to spend a month in the slammer for violating his probation.
Despite what may seem like bad news for now, Ariana is still hoping for the best.
“I get a call that the song was pushed back... then I get a call that it isn't,” tweeted the Sam and Cat star. “Gonna take the back seat with this one.”
Do you think it makes sense for Ariana and Chris to wait to release their single when Chris is out of jail, or should the record company put it out now to combat Chris’ bad press?
