Arie Luyendyk Jr. Has Ex-Girlfriend Drama After ‘Bachelor’ 2018 Announcement
But those likely more surprised than Arie, Peter, and the fans? The women he was dating up until recently.
After all, in January 2016, Ben Flajnik’s ex coyly admitted the two still occasionally “make out”.
“I adore Arie," she said at the time.
“He's a great friend who I like to make out with from time to time!”
He seconded the sentiment, gushing, “She’s really just such a sweet, kind, funny person.”
These comments came years after the two first took their friendship to the next level in 2012, weeks after Courtney and Ben called off their engagement.
In fact, the 35-year-old hunk has seriously dated a couple of other women in recent years — both of whom were significantly younger than him.
From around 2013 to 2015, there was then-21-year-old Jenna Jones, a Fox Sports reporter based in his home state of Arizona.
They appeared to be on-again-off-again in that time, but were serious during the “on” times.
However, her reaction to Arie being announced is pretty telling about how things ended.
“LOL I got out of that s—t long ago no worries,” she wrote after the announcement in a (now deleted) tweet via Reality Steve.
She continued, “Should’ve watched it before I dated him for over three years. While he continued auditioning behind my back. My bad.”
“Blindly follow a dude who claims to be a hopeless romantic but forever cheats on and does despicable wrongs to women. Got it,” she concluded.

Uh oh! And there’s sure to be more, like this one...
Up until as recently as June 2017, the new Season 22 star was with 25-year-old beauty Sydney Stempfley.
It’s unclear when the two called it quits, but Sydney has some words of her own about the reality star.
When Sean Lowe suggested Arie for the Bachelor gig a few days ago, she chimed in on Twitter, “The show would be perfect for @ariejr up until it comes to choosing just one .”

All of this is sure to call into question a few things when it comes to his Bachelor season.
For one thing, is he really ready to settle down and get engaged after playing the field up until recently?
Plus, considering his girlfriends prior to the 34-year-old former model, we have to wonder what sort of age range they'll be casting for the mid-30s lead.
Should all make for an interesting season though!
The Bachelor Season 22 premieres in early 2018 on ABC.
