While we love how relationship-driven Grey’s Anatomy has been this season, we’re ready to get back to what really gets the blood pumping in our favorite surgeons: insane, rare medical conditions that bring out their competitive side. But don’t worry — before Season 10 is over, we’re going to get a big taste of a crazy case.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Grey’s is set to take on the story of the Bubble Boy — which means we’re going to meet a patient who’s got an autoimmune disease so intense that he or she is required to stay quarantined at all time to avoid exposure to germs and bacteria.
And that patient? Played by Armani Jackson, a young, curly headed cutie who you may know from his roles in the film Cootie or in the short-lived series, Man Up.
We’ll first meet Armani’s character — who will appear in multiple episodes — when he comes to the hospital stricken with a “mysterious disease” that should eventually make him Grey Sloan Memorial’s very own Bubble Boy.
Not only will this be an interesting case to watch play out, but we’re also assuming we’ll get to see our peds team shine — Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) is awesome with kids with scary afflictions, and seeing Alex (Justin Chambers), and Jo (Camilla Luddington) work together is always the best.
This may be our favorite patient since the man who slowly turned into a tree — and Bailey’s hilarious reaction to it.
Looking forward to seeing the docs respond to a Bubble Boy scenario?
