Justin Bieber Arrest: GPS Records Show He Wasn’t Drag Racing! (UPDATE: He Went 136 MPH!)

Update (February 9, 2014):

It turns out that Justin Bieber was indeed driving at ridiculously fast speeds on the night of his DUI arrest in Miami Beach last month. It’s just that the speeding took place hours before he was arrested.

TMZ reports that the GPS read-out for Justin’s rented Lamborghini, shows that, just after 1 a.m., he was driving at 136 mph on the Julia Tuttle Causeway in Miami Beach. He arrived at Set nightclub at about 2:27 a.m., and he was arrested after he left the club about an hour later.

By the time Justin was busted by the cops, he was only going about 27 mph.

Original story (January 31, 2014)

Where in the world is Justin Bieber? Thanks to GPS, we know! In fact, TMZ is using the location technology to determine if the Biebs was indeed drag racing the night of his arrest in Miami Beach, Florida, earlier this month.

Somehow or other (don’t ask questions), TMZ got ahold of the GPS records from the rented Lamborghini Justin was driving in the wee hours of January 23. At the time of his arrest, the police report claimed Justin was engaged in “a contest of speed (drag racing)” against his buddy Khalil in a red Ferrari and going between 55 and 60 MPH in a residential area.

Not so, according to the GPS entries. Every time a driver accelerates, the car logs it, and when it comes to Justin, the Lambo says he was actually driving under the 30 MPH speed limit of Pine Tree Drive in the middle of his supposed drag race against Khalil.

Of course, Justin wasn’t charged with drag racing. Instead, he’s facing driving with an expired license, resisting arrest without violence, and DUI — the last of which he has at least admitted to, telling police shortly after his arrest that he drank and smoked weed earlier in the day.

Still, it seems the more we learn about the police report, the cloudier the early morning’s events become.

What do you make of the findings? Think this whole thing is getting more and more suspicious, or convinced the Biebs was up to something bad?
