When Does Arrow Season 3 Premiere on the CW?

We know you've been itching to return to Starling City ever since the gripping Arrow Season 2 finale back in May. Better mark your calendars: Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) returns on October 8 with Season 3, Episode 1: "The Calm."

This season is supposed to be jam-packed with payoff for fans of not just the CW series, but the Green Arrow comics. Legendary DC villain Ra's al Ghul is cast — 42-year-old Australian actor Matt Nable takes the honor — so expect to delve even deeper to the League of Assassins as the season marches on.

It's not all about the big bads, though. We're going to get a peek into what becomes of Sara Lance (Jacqueline MacInnes) after her departure from the League… which may segue into some big news for big sis Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy). Sara's alter ego, after all, will likely bring some major changes for Laurel, if the comic books are any indication.

Plus, uh, what's up with that romance between Oliver and Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards)? We'll get some answers there, if one Season 3 trailer (below) is any indication. But don't worry, Felicity is still more than her association with our favorite reformed playboy; Episode 5, "The Secret Origin of Felicity Smoak," will dig into the tech genius's backstory.

So there you have it: Arrow returns on October 8, 2014. Memorize it, or record it on one of those Yak Bak arrows. You don't want to fail Starling City now, do you?
