For all those who are wondering who takes the top spot on Arya’s infamous “hit list,” Maisie reveals, “Joffrey, Cersei and Ilyn Payne... I don’t know what order she would choose... Definitely Ilyn Payne, I think, because he seems like a bit of a psychopath.” Tongueless executioners do seem to have that reputation, don’t they?
On the acting side of things, Maisie was asked what she’s learned by working with experienced actors such as Charles Dance (Tywin Lannister), Michelle Fairley (Cat Stark, and Sean Bean (Ned Stark). She says, “It sounds weird, it’s kind of like the ability to just incorporate props... It does make a complete difference at how natural it is, especially with the language on Game of Thrones... To incorporate your props and just be able to relax on camera that makes it feel a lot more believable.”
Maisie also discusses Arya’s scene with Melisandre (Carice van Houten), explaining, “It was kind of scary, [van Houten] didn’t blink as well, and that was kind of odd... This is a new thing to Arya, it’s kind of chilling I think.” Nice to know we’re not the only ones creeped out by Melisandre!
