Atlanta Snow Storm Shuts Down The Vampire Diaries and The Originals Production
Even vampires cower under the force of Mother Nature’s fury. In anticipation of the epic winter storm heading in Atlanta’s direction, production on both The Vampire Diariesand its supernatural spin-off The Originalshas been shut down. When will these vamps sink their fangs back into work? Read on to find out!
According to The Hollywood Reporter, production on the CW shows is only expected to be halted for a day. The shows will not film today, but are scheduled to pick back up Thursday. The city is expected to be hit with up to snow, sleet, and freezing rain accumulating in up to 3-5 inches of snow and a quarter to a half-inch of ice. Power outages are also predicted. Given that Atlanta was wholly unprepared to deal with the 2.6 inches of snow that hit two weeks ago, the city seems to be taking no chances in waiting this storm out rather than going about business as usual.
Of course, snowpocalypse business as usual for two TVD stars might just be the right course of action. Last storm, Nina Dobrev (Elena) and Candice Accola (Caroline) spent the day playing games, sledding, and hanging with friends. Basically, they seemed to have the best time ever. The same couldn’t be said for all of the TVD stars — or their cats. Ian Somerhalder’s adorable cat, Moke, was decidedly not OK with the flurries. “The lone paw print from Moke in the snow just now,” Ian captioned the adorable pic of Moke’s print. “I think his exact words were ‘f—k that dad it's wet and cold..." Brace yourself, Moke. Winter is coming (again).
Catch the next episode of The Vampire Diaries on Thursday, February 27 at 8 p.m. ET on the CW.
