Pauly D Baby News: Snooki and JWOWW Are Shocked, But “So Happy” For Him!

The internet erupted in shock earlier today when Paul “DJ Pauly D” Delvecchio revealed that he is the father of a baby girl named Amabella! The former Jersey Shore star became a dad a few months ago after a Las Vegas hookup in 2012 and is “excited to embark on this new part” of his life.

While we’re glad he’s such a proud papa, the biggest question mark was how his former co-stars (and best friends) would react. A few of them sounded off on Twitter after the news broke, but it wasn’t until Snooki and JWOWW shared their feelings with E! News that we really knew what was going through their minds.

In short? They’re thrilled. Snooki told E! that she’s so happy for Pauly, and though it was “definitely a shock” to the cast, they know he’ll be an amazing dad. “He's so loving and caring,” she continued. “I can't wait for Lorenzo and her to play!" Notably, in a chat with Us Weekly, she added, "Now Lorenzo has a girlfriend!"

That is almost too cute to handle. Us also provided a few details about how he found out. Apparently she contacted him after the baby was born and then he got a DNA test. Now he's ready to take responsibility and "will be in this child's life one way or another," a source says, noting that she has a son from a previous relationship. E! adds that he's actually “hoping to develop a relationship” with her. And hey, he has always wanted kids!

When E! talked to JWOWW, she exclaimed, “Holy s— I just heard! I’m so f—king happy for him. I just texted him. Crying! He’s going to be the best dad ever!”

Classic Jenni. We can’t wait to see what Pauly’s bestie Vinny has to say — it’s been radio silence for him so far on Twitter.
