Could we have ourselves another Mesnick moment?

That’s what Chris Harrison would have us believe happens in Nick Viall’s upcoming Bachelor 2017.

NEWS: Nick Viall’s Bachelor Is Living Up to the Hype

Though Season 21 is still filming, the longtime host revealed some interesting details about the 36-year-old’s fourth shot at on-screen love, and it sounds emotional.

Unfortunately, by “pulling a Mesnick,” we’re not referring to when Jason Mesnick swapped his Season 13 winner and fiancée Melissa Rycroft for now-wife Molly Malaney during the live After the Final Rose.

That would’ve been great television if Nick did something similar (but not so great for the poor girl), but that doesn’t mean Chris’s scoop isn’t juicy!

However, as Chris tells it on Wednesday’s On With Mario Lopez (via Us Weekly), the Wisconsin native does mirror Jason’s famous balcony breakdown.

“He hit a little low point, as all of the Bachelors do,” the Perfect Letter author shares. “You kind of reach this emotional bottom where you get stripped down.

“If you know what a Mesnick is, I will let you know that he pulled a full Mesnick. There will be man tears on this season for sure.”

And Nick’s not the only one crying!

A source also tells the magazine the season has recently turned into a bit of an “emotional mess” between the Bachelor and his remaining contestants.

“Nick was handling everything really well — then everything hit him, and he had a full meltdown," the insider details. “All of the girls have been crying, too. Multiple girls have been crying.”

OK, so contestant tears of course are nothing new, but the source of the drama is likely less common.

One theory for the main cause of tension this season is the two-time Bachelorette runner-up’s former fling joining the cast.

However, judging by Reality Steve spoilers, that doesn’t cause as much of a ripple as we previously thought.

Instead, there’s probably another more obvious cause.

Honestly, it’s probably just that feelings run deep and the stakes are higher at the end!

If this disappoints you, don’t worry, Host Harrison says we’re in for a helluva good season regardless.

The Who Wants to Be a Millionaire host gushes, “He's a good man — he's a really good guy. And he's doing a good job."

The Bachelor Season 21 premieres Monday, January 2 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
