The Bachelor’s Chris Harrison Snubbed For 2014 Emmy Award Nominations AGAIN!

Another year, another atrocious omission by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. That’s right. It’s 2014 Emmy Award nominations time and we were keeping our fingers crossed that our favorite rose schilling evil geniuses over at ABC would get their due for The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. But even more important? We were hoping Chris Harrison would get some long overdue recognition for his work as host. Alas, it looks like this just wasn’t Chris and crew’s year.

Perhaps it was the widely panned skeeziness of Juan Pablo Galavis’s Bachelor season that was their downfall or maybe Desiree Hartsock’s snoozefest — though that scene with Brooks Forester definitely was the most dramatic moment in the show’s history (not really, but it was pretty emotionally raw). Whatever the case, neither round of Bachelor drama nor the nearly perfect Chris Harrison got a nod for 12 years on the job. Dayum, guys. What more do you need from them?

Following the nominations announcement, Bachelor/ette producer Robert Mills tweeted his disappointment with “I am saying this in all seriousness. Watch @chrisbharrison on this year's #Bachelor AFR and tell me he wasn't robbed for an #Emmy nom.”

This is far from the first time the franchise or its host has been snubbed. Both The Bachelor and The Bachelorette were left off of the reality category for last year’s 2013 Emmy noms, as was Chris. At the time, Robert commented on his social media account, saying that our beloved rose monitor was “totally F’d over.”

But Chris was still in good spirits and took last year’s oversight in stride, replying to Robert, “Thks @Millsy11374 but it usually takes 12 yrs before a show on network TV gets noticed by #Emmys so next year we're good! #TheBachelor." Hopefully, he’ll keep that same positive outlook this time around. Don’t let ‘em get you down, Chrissy! You’re still first in our hearts.
