Chad Johnson Confirms He’s Joining ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ Season 4 (UPDATE)
UPDATE (1/27/2017 at 4:30 p.m. ET):
On the January 27 episode of The Tea, the Oklahoma-based hunk revealed he’s already on board for the summer spin-off.
“I will be on Bachelor in Paradise,” he confirms. “I’ve already agreed to do it. I hope I don’t get kicked off the first night!”
If he does stick around this time (fingers crossed!), the real estate agent has his eye on a few of Nick Viall’s current contestants — should they not get engaged on Bachelor, of course.
Most people are hoping for a Corinne-Chad hookup to make Bachelor villain history. In fact, even the bad boy himself is excited by the prospect.
“It sounds and looks like it’s going to be exciting if that does go down,” he says coyly.
Whether it’s with the “multimillion-dollar business” owner or not, he is hoping to find love in the near future. And if you’re interested, he has a few tips.
“I look for somebody who’s positive and basically just wants to wake up everyday and enjoy life. Somebody who can make the best out of everyday,” he details.
Heed these words, ladies!
Original story (1/23/2017 at 6 p.m. ET):
Of course, we’re getting ahead of ourselves, as the yam-loving meathead has another show to attend to first.
That would be his previously-announced appearance on E!’s Famously Single alongside Malika Haqq, Karina Smirnoff, Jersey Shore’s Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, I Love New York’s Tiffany Pollard, #RichKids of Beverly Hills star Dorothy Wang, and more.
The 29-year-old is said to have signed onto the show after pitching a number of show ideas to ABC sister network Freeform, only to be turned down in favor of Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell, and Emily and Haley Ferguson’s projects.
Still, in order to star on Famously Single, Reality Steve says he made a deal with ABC execs.
The rule was, if he wanted to get out of his contract for another network reality show, he had to sign on for another season of BIP.
In other words, Chad is our first confirmed Season 4 cast member. Though trying to fill in the other blanks won’t be too hard.
It sounds like the real estate agent isn’t the only franchise villain taking his stirring-the-pot talents to Mexico.
Though she chose not to appear on Season 3, Steve hears there’s a good chance Olivia Caridi will be back for Paradise come August.
Judging by her post-show exposure, Olivia’s “villain” role was more of a symptom of editing and circumstances than a reflection of her true personality.
That being said, as Nick Viall proved last summer, any additional rehab to one’s image can do wonders!
Bachelor in Paradise Season 4 premieres this summer on ABC.
