We’re thrilled that everyone’s favorite summertime guilty pleasure, Bachelor Pad, is being revamped as this summer’s Bachelor in Paradise. But given that the show was on hiatus last summer due to an apparent dearth of attention-grabbing participants, it seems clear that it’s all in the casting. So which former Bachelor and Bachelorette faves will be selected for the new show?

ABC has yet to confirm anything about the cast and Bachelor producers have been asking fans on Twitter for suggestions. However, E! News editor Marc Malkin reports that Emily Maynard’s ex-fiancé, Jef Holm, has been talking to producers about appearing. “Talked to Jef Holm at [the] Shakira [concert] tonight,” Marc writes on Facebook. “Confirmed he's in talks for Bachelor in Paradise. @BachelorABC @BacheloretteABC.”

We don’t know about you, but we’re pretty darn excited about this news! We’ve adored the skateboard-riding entrepreneur since we first saw him falling in love with Emily on Bachelorette Season 8, and were super bummed when they later broke off their engagement. Jef is a spontaneous, fun-loving guy not to mention easy on the eyes so we’re sure he’ll be a great fit for whatever Bachelor in Paradise has in store for us.

And does this mean Jef is currently single? In an interview last month, he told a magazine “[I’m] dating someone who I’m really excited about.” But at around the same time, sources spotted Jef after Juan Pablo Galavis’s “Women Tell All” taping and said Jef was gettin’ his flirt on with the ladies. Given that BiP producers probably hope the cast will get amorous with each other, we’re guessing Jef is currently ready to mingle.

We’re also wondering if the possibility that Jef is being asked to join the show means Arie Luyendyk, Jr. might show up on it, too. The two guys were besties until a recent falling out and Arie would be a natural choice for BiP. Jef and Arie back on our TVs, back to being friends... shirtlessly? We’re so there.

Do you think Jef is a good choice for Bachelor in Paradise? And who else would you like to see on the show?
