Was your summer of 2013 sort of a let down due to the absence of Bachelor Pad? Ours too. The warmth and sunshine are just a little less delightful when they’re not paired with a weekly dose of Chris Harrison and inter-Bachelor Nation fraternizing. But fret not, as those Bachelor producers have gifted us with something even better for summer 2014 — Bachelor in Paradise, premiering TONIGHT! Monday, August 4 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC!

Don't miss the episode.

The spin-off brings all of the hooking up and rose ceremony goodness of the original BP franchise to the tropical beaches of Mexico. It’s been billed as less of a competition this time around, however, and will instead focus on the contestants finding love amongst other Bachelor/Bachelorette alums.

So how does this latest matchmaking series work? For one, it sounds like the men and women will switch off weeks having control of the roses, with each guy choosing one girl to save and vice versa. Also similar to the original show, there will be date cards to announce which contestants have chosen another to join them on a 1-on-1 date. And from what we hear, there’s been a lot of pairing off already — with some matches that might even surprise the most dedicated of Bachelor fans!

Though the show doesn't start airing until tonight, we’ve already done some expert sleuthing into the upcoming season and boy is it a doozy. We can't wait to see some familiar fan favorite faces grace our screens again, including several hawt men from Andi Dorfman's just-finished season of The Bachelorette. Welcome to paradise, Dylan Petitt, Marcus Grodd, Cody Sattler, and Marquel Martin — now take your shirts off por favor!

Bachelor in Paradise premieres tonight Monday, August 4 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
