Ask and ye shall receive! While it sounded like there was no chance for a reunion of Bachelor in Paradise, according to a new interview with all-knowing Chris Harrison, ABC execs are rethinking that decision.
"We are in heavy talks," Chris told TVGuide when asked about the possibility of a "After the Final Ocean Romp" special for the spin-off. He continued, "As I said, if there was ever a show that needed it, it's this one. So we're desperately trying to figure it out."
We couldn't agree more, Chrissy! The thought of not knowing whether Elise Mosca is still shopping at Deb/Wet Seal or if Clare Crawley is still seeing her raccoon therapist is almost too much to bear.
Keep on keepin' on with those "heavy talks" guys, we're ready for that magic on our TV screens!
Original story (7/9/14):
We’re still trying to wrap our heads around the concept of Bachelor in Paradise, but from what we have gleaned so far in spoilers and the tiny tidbits of info from ABC, it’s going to be totally insane in the membrane. From one cast member’s relationship with a sound guy to an on-air finale proposal, they’ve really brought out the big guns. But what about the always-dramatic reunion ep — will the producers deliver on that?
Sorry to dash your dreams into smithereens, but that’s a no-go. According to Reality Steve, there are currently no plans for a reunion or a live finale (aka After the Final Rose) where the hookup-happy alums would all be rounded back up in one room. But just think of the possibilities, guys!
While those Men/Women Tell All eps are a little tame these days, that would never be the case with this crew. We already know that only two couples stayed together after the show — the aforementioned engaged Lacy Faddoul and Marcus Grodd, Michelle Money and Cody Sattler — but there was a whole lot of mixing and matching before that. Wouldn’t it be great to see these people all facing eachother months later, like some morning after in a frat house? Cue the awkward turtle.
And it’s not only the romantic stuff that could bring up raw emotions. As we saw in this week’s new second promo for the show, the girl fights were at a peak down in Tulum, Mexico. The clip showsSarah Herron bemoaning that “those girls” make her uncomfortable, plus there’s a whole lot of tears from people like Clare Crawley. Here come the she said, she saids!
Now, Steve also admits that “things can change” and a reunion may not be entirely off the table. Feel free to leave your plea to producers in the comments!
