UPDATE (8/19/14):

Last night's elimination-resignation was partially inspiring and partially heartbreaking — kind of like the series of Bachelor in Paradise on a whole. While Chris Bukowski and Elise Mosca proved to America that true love really could be found on reality TV — and in a mere 24 or 48 hours. That is, until reality hits... but that's a story for a different day. The four-time Bachelor franchise alum exited bravely, cane in hand, but not before asking his blonde-haired nurse Elise to join him on his journey back to the mainland. Chris also won bonus points by still giving out his rose — and giving it to Michelle Money, as he says "she deserves to find love." Aww.

In less upbeat news, however, poor Danielle Ronco didn't even get a chance. The beauty was sent packing after one single date with TV crush Marquel Martin who preferred the company of Jackie Parr, apparently. We love ya Marquel, but girl was totally justified when, in her exit interview, she cried, "This wasn't paradise. This was Marq-hell." Hey, at least your hair looked great, girl!

Original story (8/13/14):

If you thought that the first two episodes of freshman spin-off series Bachelor in Paradise couldn’t be topped, you were wrong — they can be, and they will be in August 18’s Episode 3. Tonight’s outing will be an emotional rollercoaster, featuring the introduction of two new beauties, a potential AshLee Frazier meltdown, and a serious Chris Bukowski injury. Oh, and not two but three castmates are on their way out — but who?

Before we get there, however, we’ve got some dates to get through. First, there’s the introduction of
Danielle Ronco (from Juan Pablo Galavis’s season) and Jackie Parr (a Sean Lowe cast-off), who arrive and shake things up. How? They’re coming for Michelle Money’s man! Yep, both newbies are gunning for a Marquel Martin date, and they both get what they wish for!

After Marquel is passed around like a half-moon cookie at a slumber party, his victim of drunk shaming, Michelle, moves on to greener pastures with Robert Graham. The two double date with Clare Crawley and Zack Kalter. How cute!

And there’s of course more of Elise Mosca, because the ABC producers don’t hate us. She’s already over Dylan Petitt, thanks to a trusty date card from Chris Bukowski. That is, until the playa “sustains a debilitating injury that could put their date and his time in paradise in jeopardy.” Yikes!

The final date (yes, there’s a lot of these) is a doozy. We’ve been waiting to see AshLee Frazier and Graham Bunn finally get their romantic one-on-one time, and tonight is the night (is the night of love). Well, sort of. Sounds like Graham is a little wary of Ash still, probably because she’d already planned out their retirement together by midway through the first day in Tulum. But hey, maybe she had a reason?

Alas, we can’t all stay in paradise forever — bills to pay, mouths to feed, natch. But while we were expecting only two gals to hit the road this week, there’s actually tres unlucky souls. The unluckiest? Bukowski, who will be voluntarily exiting, thanks to that ocean knee injury. Whomp. A second romantic failure not being an option for Elise, she joins her new makeout partner on the plane out of paradise. Au revoir, lovers! Hope your love lasts beyond the sunshine and tequila (Spoiler: It doesn’t.)

One more gal has to exit to even that ratio out, so sadly that gal is…. Danielle. Bukowski (who still has to hand out his rose) distributes his to Michelle, because, well, Michelle is the best.

So there you have it, bit of a clean house week. Danielle, we hardly knew ye. Best of luck finding love in a more sane setting!
