Dancing With the Stars Season 18: Bachelor Juan Pablo Galavis Says He Would Consider It

Could 2014 Bachelor Juan Pablo Galavis be the next Sean Lowe — or preferably Melissa Rycroft — on Dancing With the Stars?

The hunky Latin lover lives to dance, and he even showed a potential future bride some Salsa moves on The Bachelor Season 18 premiere. He's used to meeting girls at clubs, and told Channel Guide Magazine he loves a woman who can dance, so finding a potential partner was on his must list. (Cheryl Burke, why weren’t you on his season?!)

Based on his love of dancing and status as the Bachelor, it was only a matter of time before the ABC crossover question came up: Would he be interested in doing Dancing With the Stars — maybe even on the spring 2014 season that will directly follow his own show? "We'll see, man," Juan Pablo told Extra’s Mario Lopez, who was the runner-up on DWTS Season 3. "I like dancing a lot.”

JPG also likes his daughter Camila more than a lot, and she's based with his family in Miami. DWTS tapes in L.A., so they'd have to do the long-distance thing again. That could be an issue. Then again, maybe he'll end up moving to L.A., since he said he was open to the idea of relocating, depending on what his eventual lady love wants to do.

If JPG does sign up for DWTS, he'd be the fifth Bachelor crossover. Bachelorette Trista Sutter was first, back on DWTS Season 1; then Bachelor alum Melissa Rycroft, who started on Season 8 then returned to win DWTS All-Stars; she was followed by Bachelor Jake Pavelka on Season 10; then Bachelor Sean Lowe, who took his shirt off for our pleasure last spring on Season 16.

It’s possible this DWTS idea, like so many rumors, will go nowhere. But since there’s such a history of Bachelor crossovers, and JPG may actually be a decent dancer, what do you think of the idea of him competing on DWTS Season 18? Are you sick of the Bachelor people enlisting for sequin duty, or do you think Juan Pablo might be the rare exception worth watching?
