What Really Happens in That Insane ‘Bachelorette’ 2016 Contestant Fight?
Those Bachelorette producers are up to their old tricks again!
If you caught the super trailer for JoJo Fletcher’s Season 12 at the end of last night’s premiere, you may have been tricked into thinking some of the contestants will get into fisticuffs, resulting in someone being arrested.
Well, by “some contestants,” the preview really singles out macho man Chad Johnson, who appears to have drama with almost all of the guys. And while it’s not untrue that things get physical between the luxury real estate agent and his Bachelor Mansion roomies, it plays out a little differently.
According to Reality Steve’s spoilers, the foundation for drama is set right in next week’s Episode 2, when, during a group date, Chad calls JoJo “naggy” for trying to get him to participate in the activity.
Not only does he have issues with the Bachelorette herself, the former marine is also labeled the villain, roided out, and the bully. That leads him to continually interrupt all of the contestants’ 1-on-1 time with the Dallas beauty.
It gets worse in Episode 3’s sex talk group date, when erectile dysfunction specialist Evan Bass comes for Chad in his monologue, calling him out for his testosterone and mood swings. The Tulsa beefcake comes at him physically, allegedly pushing him and ripping his shirt!
But that altercation does not cause the blood you see in the sneak peek. That, in actuality, comes later in the episode during a pool party, when Evan accidentally hurts himself while diving. So not as dramatic as they’d like you to think. (Still unclear how the above injured still of James Taylor happens.)
That being said, Chris Harrison does show up around this time, pull Chad aside, and tell him how the guys are scared of him. Yet somehow, he doesn’t go home yet.
It’s in Episode 4 when this season’s “villain” finally faces the music — and on a 2-on-1, praise!
He and fellow former marine Alex Woytkiw share a date with the real estate developer, where Alex ends up with the rose, meaning Chad goes home. However, Steve says the producers allow the loser to come back to the resort and confront the guys after his elimination, which is when the Jordan Rodgers fight occurs.
So it wasn’t a total lie — Jordan and Chad get into it then, but the latter does go home after the fight and we are finally free of that negativity pretty early on in the “journey.” Now you know the truth.
The Bachelorette airs Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
