Bachelorette JoJo Fletcher Reveals What She’s Wants in a Husband
Namely, what is the brunette beauty hoping to get out of her second shot at love on reality television?
If there was any question JoJo is ready to fall in love again and get engaged, she shut that down in her first post-finale interview.
“I want to find my husband,” she gushed to People. “I want to find the person who will complete me and who will love me as much as I love him. I'm more ready than ever!”
As for what kind of man she’s looking for, the real estate developer lists three key qualities: "someone who makes me laugh, someone who is kind and genuine, and adventurous.”
Hear that, fellas? Boring, mean, and fake guys need not apply for Season 12!
While Ben certainly fit that mold, things obviously didn’t work out for him and the Dallas gal. But as she said on the After the Final Rose special, she’s come to terms with the split and has learned a lot in the process.
“I was lucky to have gone through that," the 25-year-old explains. "I learned so much and now I know what I want and I know what I deserve.”
As for the former couple’s first face-to-face interaction last night, she says, “I was super nervous but he explained it well and I have closure. I'm friends with Lauren and I think the world of Ben, and seeing them together, it made a lot more sense than I thought it would be.
“Watching it back, I kind of had to relive it and I definitely remember how sad I was. But I'm not bitter and I'm not angry. Ben followed his heart. Even though it didn't work out, it still was a great relationship and I learned a lot from him.”
One lesson she’s definitely carrying with her is to take her time before dropping a double L-bomb like our “perfect 10” did with her and Lauren.
She explains, “I understand loving two people at once but I definitely will make sure that it's exactly what I'm feeling before I say it. Because I know what it's like to have that said to you and then to potentially be disappointed and let down. So I'll be cautious of that.”
We can’t wait to see you take the reigns, girl. You’re going to kill it!
The Bachelorette Season 12 premieres Monday, May 23 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
