Andi Dorfman Almost Turned Down the Bachelorette — “No Way, Been There, Done That”
Andi Dorfman almost said no to having 25 guys dote on her in exotic places around the world. That "ees” not OK! Can you imagine if we never got to see Josh Murray's romantic proposal?! Or even worse, if we never got to see Nick Viall confront Andi for having sex with him in the Fantasy Suite? The horror.
The Season 10 Bachelorette opened up to JEZEBEL magazine about her reaction when she was first approached to star on the show. "At first I was like, ‘No way, been there, done that; I’m good.’ But I was still in Atlanta and still single. I couldn’t find anyone to date me or to go on dates with [laughs]... so I said, ‘Why not try it again?’"
Andi — a hot brunette paralegal who's a football fan with an amazing family — not being able to get a date? Good one! We're glad she came around to the idea. How Andi ended up in the running for Juan Pablo's heart to begin with? She probably asked herself the same question the entire season.
"There was a casting call, and my friends told me about it. It was in Atlanta up in Sandy Springs [at Three Sheets]. I was like, ‘There’s no way I’m going to a Bachelor casting call; you guys are crazy.’ I remember it was a Thursday and I got off work at a normal time, which was unusual. I didn’t feel like working out and my girlfriend canceled dinner, so I just drove there. I went by myself and had no idea what to expect. I came in my suit! I got there and these girls were dressed to the nines in their stilettos and these cute little outfits. I took off my blazer so I at least had a skirt and tank top on. I did the interview and I was like, ‘This is stupid; why did I do this?’ And the next thing I knew I was getting called out to interview in L.A."
Life lesson: when in doubt, wear skirt suits.
