Rachel Lindsay Didn’t Skip Her Engagement Party After All (UPDATE)
UPDATE (7/31/2017 at 11:00 a.m. ET):
Don’t believe everything you read!
While fans and media outlets alike were questioning Rachel Lindsay’s apparent choice to “skip” her own engagement party over the weekend, that wasn’t actually the case.
Luckily, some of the Bachelorette 2017 star’s franchise pals chimed in to let us all know that!
After reports emerged saying the Dallas gal was a no-show to the Dominican Republic trip with her former co-stars, one of those castmates spoke up.
So what really happened?
Luckily, we got an answer to that, as well.
Bachelor in Paradise Season 4 star Adam Gottschalk explained, “#false it was a bachelor trip & the resort happened to know Rachel was coming. Rach had other press & couldn't attend. She's here in spirit!”
Makes sense to us. Plus, it didn’t seem like Rachel was sweating the rumors over the weekend…
Instead, she focused on spending time with her family, sharing a pic with her two cousins Sunday at the youngest one’s basketball game.
“Congrats to my lil cousin Jordan and her team S.K.A. on winning their basketball championship this weekend!!!! #familyfirst #cousinlove #basketballrunsinthefamily,” the reality star captioned.

Original story (7/29/2017 at 10:30 a.m. ET):
Where is she?
But the current Bachelorette was nowhere to be seen at her own party.
The 32-year-old's besties, including Raven Gates, Astrid Loch, Danielle Lombard, Alexis Waters, Jasmine Goode and Sarah Vendal, came together for a trip to Hard Rock Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.
However, the girl they were celebrating wasn't with them.
"All of the girls went this weekend because Rachel's obviously engaged and this was going to be her fun getaway weekend to celebrate. She somehow didn't make it on her flight yesterday. No one has any idea what's going on," a source told E! News.
"She was supposed to be there. It's her trip. But at the last minute, she didn't show up."
Alexis had posted an Instagram photo while on the trip and captioned it, "Celebrating @therachlindsay engagement without @therachlindsay #hardrockpuntacan."
Fans started to question why the woman of the hour wasn't even there.
Even without the hopeful bride, the girls' stay at the Hard Rock Punta Cana continued without her at the all-inclusive resort.
The group get-together may get larger in the next couple days, too.
No word from the lawyer yet on why she didn't attend, but rumor has it she missed her flight.
The most recent social media post from the Dallas lawyer was an Instagram birthday message to host Chris Harrison on July 26.
Even though she didn't join her friends for the engagement party, the reality star was seen at friend Raven's birthday bash in Los Angeles on July 22.
"Birthday Weekend with my girls," Raven said in her caption.
There are just a couple of weeks until The Bachelorette winner reveal, so perhaps Rachel is just keeping a low profile until then?
The Bachelorette airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
