Basketball Wives LA: Malaysia Pargo Files For Divorce From Jannero Pargo — Report

The game is over for Basketball Wives LA star Malaysia (real name Laquisha) Pargo and Charlotte Hornets player Jannero Pargo.

According to a May 24 report from TMZ Sports, she just filed for divorce in L.A. County Superior Court, citing that old standby, “irreconcilable differences.” Malaysia wants sole legal and physical custody of their three children — a 7-year-old and 3-year-old twins — with Jannero getting visitation rights. TMZ says she’s also asking for spousal support, and for him to pay her lawyer fees.

The couple were married in 2006 and her legal docs reportedly say they separated on December 27, 2012. If the 2012 is right, they've been separated for a long time. If they meant to write 2013, that would be just days before her younger brother Dontae, 20, died on New Year’s Eve. A couple of weeks later, in January 2014, Malaysia and Jannero had a public fight on social media, via Jay Z songs and other meaningful quotes.

Jannero posted this Jay Z quote — "Sh-t i got 2 liv wit the fact i did u wrong 4ever” — and a photo with the caption, "Once a good girl has gone bad, she's gone forever." Malaysia wrote back, "Don't worry, I'm not f--kup about it. At All. Carry on. God bless." She screencapped the convo, adding “Welp cleaning house… who’s next?” After that, she posted a photo with the caption "Forgive, not because they deserve forgiveness but because you deserve peace." She followed that with more quotes like "People Come and Go. The Best Will Stay" and "Spend your time on those that love you unconditionally. Don't waste it on those that only love you when the conditions are right for them."

When you start breaking out the passive-aggressive inspirational messages, you know the love is gone.

That was all back in January but apparently now is the time for the split to get official. Season 3 of Basketball Wives LA just aired from February to April on VH1, so we'll have to see if this relationship drama is included in Season 4.

Best of luck to Malaysia and Jannero. Hopefully the divorce will stay relatively drama-free (tip: no more social media shade), for the kids’s sake.
