Of the two post-Bachelorette TV gig rumors we’ve heard about Andi Dorfman this week, this is the one we can really get behind. The 27-year-old Georgia beauty is still a month away from walking off into the sunset with her new love — if she even does (click here to find out!). But that hasn’t stopped everyone from buzzing about what she’ll do next, and with the just-announced The View exits of Jenny McCarthy and Sherri Shepherd, some are saying Andi might be just the gal to fill one of the vacant seats on the panel.
Hollywood Life, the people who brought you the Dancing With the Stars rumors about Andi earlier this week, is reporting that the ABC execs are looking to keep the replacements in the ABC family, making the gang prosecutor a viable option.
“They want to test her out and see if she would work out in the mold of The View, the folks at ABC have tons of decisions to make including bringing Barbara back, they are going to make a serious splash when they rework the show,” their source says. “And the potential to bring Andi in is something they are definitely considering.”
We were skeptical of this report at first, but the more we think about it, the more it makes sense — and it’s much more plausible than Andi trying her two left feet out on the DWTS dance floor. For one, she’s a young voice, which the show has lacked since Elisabeth Hasselbeck left. FYI: Elisabeth was only 26 years old when she joined the talk show — one year younger than Andi is now. Another thing the two ladies have in common? They both got their start on reality TV, as the current FOX and Friends host got her start on CBS’s long running hit, Survivor.
Beyond all of that, as an assistant district attorney who’s not too harsh on the eyes (think of the outfits!), Andi is sort of made for a conversational TV show like this one. It’s not the worst idea, ABC. Think about it.
Do you think Andi would be a good fit on the morning show’s panel? Sound off in the comments below.
