True Blood’s Rob Kazinsky on That Erotic Shaving Scene With Ryan Kwanten

Although True Blood newbie (Truebie newbie?) Rob Kazinsky, who plays Ben/Warlow, has called the nude scenes both “pretty damn terrifying” and “fun,” his latest one was definitely the former. No, we’re not talking about him making out with Sookie — we’re talking the completely erotic, yet slightly uncomfortable shaving scene with him and Ryan Kwanten (Jason Stackhouse).

The pair showed up in a sensual dream sequence due to Jason having had some of Ben’s blood, because once you’ve had a vampire’s blood, there’s a sexual connection to that vamp no matter what their gender. The result was onscreen awkwardness, yet definitely some successful sexual overtones. Behind the scenes, it was apparently the constant giggles that made the scene so challenging.

At the premiere for Rob’s new movie, Pacific Rim, TooFab asked him about the scene, and the charming British actor said, “That was one of the hardest things I’ve ever shot in my life.” The challenge? They couldn’t stop cracking up! In the end, though, he said Ryan is a complete professional, and joked that he made Rob “feel like a lady.” Seriously, we love this guy.

As for the other elephant in the room, Lawrence also asked Rob about shooting the sex scene with Anna Paquin (Sookie) in front of husband Stephen Moyer. As he’s touched on in the past, Rob said they are both the utmost professionals.

“We just went for it and he was there and it was great,” he revealed.

We can’t wait to find out what happens next, as the last episode ended with Sookie’s revelation that she knew Ben was Warlow!

What did you think of the shaving scene? Relive it below, then sound of in the comments!
