Will There Be a ‘Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After’ Season 2? (VIDEO)
Now the first season of Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After? is coming to an end, we're starting to look forward to
Nick Viall’s Bachelor the possibility of a Season 2.
During a Facebook Live chat with ETOnline.com, LaurBen updated they are still going strong, having just spent the Thanksgiving holiday with her family in Portland.
They also explained why they chose to have a double bachelor/bachelorette party in this week’s finale episode, despite calling off their wedding (though not their engagement).
“We didn’t want to throw away a good party in Las Vegas with our friends,” Lauren explains, laughing. “I think it would be weird if we called off our engagement.”
She adds, “But we’re still engaged, we’re going to get married.”
OK, so it’s not a matter of "if" but "when," it sounds like. Do they at least have an idea of a date?
Though the couple admits they do “talk wedding a lot” when it comes to her gown or even color schemes, the specifics of when it’ll all go down are still up in the air.
“Honestly, it’s on hold,” Ben admits. “We haven’t necessarily discussed an exact wedding date.”
“We had an idea for when we wanted to, but now it’s kind of, ‘Does that work for where life’s going for us?’”
Speaking of that, it sounds like life has been going a lot more smoothly for them since the cameras stopped rolling.
While the Season 20 couple are happy to have been able to “spend a lot of time together” doing the show, the 27-year-old admits working and living together wasn’t exactly “healthy.”
“It was not always easy for us, our relationship is not always easy,” the Bachelor explains. “During the show you saw a lot of our ups and downs.”
These days, they have some more free time and room to “miss each other,” which they say makes them “very happy.”
Though this makes it seem like they won't be signing on for Season 2, it sounds like it’s up in the air.
The Denver-based hunk details, “Honestly, as we sit here now, we don’t know … We’re trying to just, like with the wedding, take everything one step at a time right now.”
Lauren chimes in, “We’re both open to any opportunity that comes. I don’t think we’d say no to anything before it even comes to fruition. Until that comes our way, then we’ll discuss.”
One thing that most likely will come to fruition at some point is parenthood, but you’ll have to wait a bit for little Higgins babies.
Ben says they “both want a big-ish family,” but they most likely won’t be pulling a Jillian Harris and having a baby before a wedding.
His future wife reasons, “We both want kids — hopefully we’re able to have kids. That would be a blessing. But definitely focusing on the getting married part first.”
Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After? airs Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. ET on Freeform.
