Bethenny Frankel Is Furious Over Nene Leakes’s New ‘RHOA’ Salary — Report
Bravo better have Bethenny Frankel’s money!
One person who is supposedly not a fan of the Fashion Police co-host’s big paycheck is the Real Housewives of New York star.
“Bethenny saw reports about what Nene is getting and is livid. She wants to be the best paid Housewife!” a source told Radar Online.
The former Glee star is reportedly raking in an impressive $2 million for the upcoming season of RHOA.
“The network gave her the most lucrative deal in network history,” a source revealed.
“Along with a lucrative seven-figure salary, Nene has a most favored nations clause which allows her to have preferential treatment when it comes to scheduling filming events around her personal and business schedule.”
The 49-year-old left the Bravo franchise after Season 7 to focus on other career opportunities, but the network was able to pull her back in for Season 10.
“Filming started this week and Nene is expected to be a center storyline,” the source continued.
The Dancing With the Stars alum revealed why she decided to return on Friday, June 16.
"I don't think I go anywhere and don't get asked the question, 'When are you coming back to Housewives?' Or I get fans coming up to me saying, 'I really miss seeing you on the show,’” she told Us Weekly.
“I'm told this daily. My fans have supported me all these years, and it started to feel like I was disappointing them. I just want to be the person to finally say to my fans who have supported me for so many years: I’m back and ready for Season 10. Let the shade begin, hunni!"
“I'm motivated by money, definitely motivated by money,” the 39-year-old told photographers at LAX.
Last year Nene revealed they wanted her to return for Season 9, but they couldn’t work out the negotiations.
“I heard once they couldn't work their deal out with me, they went to Kim Zolciak,” she told People back in September.
“When we couldn't work the deal out on me making appearances, then they went to Kim to work the same thing, I suppose. I'm assuming she took it."
Kim didn’t end up taking the deal — besides her brief return — but she may come back now that Nene is confirmed.
