Original story (12/12/17 at 11:10 a.m. ET):
Bethenny Frankel is fighting back.
The Real Housewives of New York star is suing her ex-husband Jason Hoppy for custody of their daughter, Bryn.
These two have been tangled in a bitter divorce and custody battle since they announced their split in 2012.
The reality star is taking Jason to court for custody of their 7-year-old after he was charged with stalking and harassing her earlier this year.
According to Page Six, the mother of one reopened her divorce case against her ex-husband on December 6.
They’re both expected to meet in court in January.
Jason was arrested in January after he showed up to Bryn’s school and harassed the Skinnygirl creator.
“I will destroy you, you can get all the lawyers you want, you’ve been warned,” he reportedly screamed at his ex.
Meanwhile, the Bravolebrity opened up about her devastating divorce during the last season of RHONY.
“Any resolution is legally mandated and I’m fine with that,” the 46-year-old said during the reunion episode.
“I don’t care what happens, I have faith that somehow I will be able to live a normal free life.”
She continued, “But it has to be with zero contact. Because with any contact, this will not end.”
Bethenny and Jason married in March 2010 and had their daughter just two months later.
“It is indescribable and it is inexplicable and it’s like, if someone wants to talk about like a war zone in Israel, how are you going to explain that to someone?” she revealed.
“I’m not comparing this to actual war but in my life, you can’t even imagine the torment that this has been.”
She continued, “There’s no way to describe it. I just stifled it in because if I let any of it out, I’m going to totally break down. I can’t believe this happened to me.”
We hope things get resolved quickly for Bethenny.
