Bethenny Canceled — Bethenny Frankel’s Talk Show Is No More
That's a wrap, Bethenny! Telepictures Productions announced today that it is canceling Bethenny Frankel's syndicated talk show after one season.
Bethenny — executive-produced by fellow Telepictures host Ellen DeGeneres — will join The Real Housewives of New York City, Bethenny Getting Married? (later titled Bethenny Ever After) on the 43-year-old businesswoman's list of past TV projects.
Deadlinereports that low ratings and the rise of Meredith Vieira's upcoming talk show contributed to Bethenny's demise — but that the show will air original episodes until May.
"We are incredibly proud of the creativity, passion, and professionalism Bethenny and her staff brought to daytime each and every day and look forward to finishing out the season with more great original episodes," Telepictures states. "While we are disappointed not to be able to bring the series back for a second season, we remain convinced that she has a unique voice and that she will continue to be successful in the future."
Meanwhile, the lady herself seems to have no hard feelings. "I had a blast doing this show with Telepictures," Bethenny says. "My entire staff worked so hard and made everyday so much fun. I am thankful for the experience and for all my fans who tuned in every day."
No worries, Ms. Skinny Girl. We're sure we'll be hearing about your success Ever After.
