Just in case you thought Beyoncé couldn’t get any cooler, we’re here to prove you wrong, because this week, she totally did.
Let us paint a picture for you: imagine you and your pals are hanging at a karaoke bar. When it’s your turn at the mic, you choose a Beyoncé song and belt it out with all you’ve got. Then, Beyoncé herself walks in and joins you onstage.
This is the part where you wake up and realize it’s all a dream and you’re late for work, right? But for three girls at Miami’s Sing Sing karaoke bar, it was 100% reality.
Bey and husband Jay-Z visited the bar with their whole entourage — which included Destiny’s Child’s Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland, plus Timbaland, NBD — only to overhear the girls singing Beyoncé’s 2011 song, “Party,” in the next room. So Beyoncé did the only thing one can do in a situation like this — joined them.
“I was showing Beyoncé how to work the remotes and she asked me where the music that was playing was coming from,” Sing Sing owner, Kellie Pilicer, told Us Weekly. “And I said, ‘Oh, don’t worry, it won’t bother you,’ and she said, ‘No, I want to see who is singing my song.’”
So Bey and Michelle headed over to their room, watched the girls performing, and then joined in.
“Beyoncé and Michelle started singing and dancing with them,” Kellie said. “They were also videotaping the whole thing. These girls had no idea it was them for the first couple of minutes. It was cute.”
BRB, performing Beyoncé songs at various karaoke bars for the rest of our lives, hoping The Queen walks in to sing with us.
