Beyoncé and Solange Bond at First Public Appearance Since Elevator Fight (VIDEO)
If there's any discord between Beyoncé and Solange Knowles following the latter's attack on Jay Z after the Met Gala on May 5, the songstress sisters certainly weren't showing it at the Gucci Chime for Change anniversary event in New York City on June 3.
The women's rights benefit marked the first time Bey and Sol stepped out together after the incident — and, as one attendee tells Us Weekly, the Knowles girls seem to have put that elevator ride behind them.
"Beyonce and Solange looked very at ease with each other," the eyewitness says. "It really didn't seem like there was any tension between them at all. They came in and posed for tons of photos together, and they were standing really close and seemed very relaxed."
Beyoncé is actually a co-founder of Chime for Change — a "global campaign to convene, unite, and strengthen the voices speaking out for girls and women around the world" — having teamed up with Salma Hayek and Gucci creative director Frida Giannini to launch the project.
Solange, meanwhile, provided beats at her big sis's event — taking a turn at the turntables and even playing a remix of a Beyoncé song.
"She looked over at Beyoncé, and Beyoncé sort of smile-nodded, and so did Solange," the source tells Us. "It was a quick moment, but it was sweet."
