So nice, Beyonce’s doing it twice. Our favorite HBIC is taking her health into her own hands and starting her own 22-day vegan challenge like the one her husband, Jay Z initiated at the end of 2013.
At least, according to one of her latest Instagram posts. On Wednesday, she snapped a shot of a yummy-looking chocolate chip protein bar topped with bananas, alongside a simple caption that said, “#22daysvegan.”
We can only assume Bey’s bringing back the challenge that she and Jay Z already completed in honor of his birthday in an effort to get healthier, inspired by the fact that it takes 22 days to break an old habit and cement a new one in your brain.
“This all began a few months back when a good friend and vegan challenged me to embrace a ‘plant based breakfast’ every day,” Jay-Z wrote in his Life + Times blog before his first vegan stint began. “It was surprisingly easier on me than I thought.
No word on whether or not Jay Z will be joining in this time, but we’re definitely rooting for them!
Go, Bey! We can’t imagine it’s easy keeping up that awesome body in the midst of, you know, raising the best celebrity baby ever while simultaneously taking over the world. Maybe we should join the challenge, too?
