Beyoncé is just full of surprises! After dropping a mega album with zero promotion at the end of 2013 (and breaking record after record, btw), Bey’s returned to the studio. She pops up on a new collaboration with Boots, aka Jordy Asher, aka the man we have to thank for helping making Beyoncé a reality last year.

If you haven’t heard of Boots before, don’t worry. This guy keeps a famously low profile despite his close work with some major high-profile stars. He co-wrote a number of songs on Bey’s latest studio album including our go-to “Drunk in Love.”

Now Queen B’s returning the favor, lending her vocals to Boots’ new single “Dreams.” Boots actually sent the unfinished song to Beyoncé hoping for her thoughts and got back a new version complete with her vocals. Quite the gift!

“It’s just a really cool testament to our friendship and relationship to do something like this,” Boots told Vogue of her generous and unexpected contribution. “I feel like I’ve been given my wings to fly. It’s the greatest kind of co-sign you could get, from someone who truly, truly believes in you.”

Yeah, having Beyoncé believe in us would pretty much make our life, too.

Listen to “Dreams” below and then hit the comments to let us know what you make of the new song.
