As if y’all didn’t see this coming! Beyoncé is among Time’s 100 most influential people for the year and takes her spot on the magazine’s cover and looks, dare we say, flawless. Queen Bey has just come off a successful year, complete with a surprise visual album that broke records, all while rocking 132 concerts for her Mrs. Carter Show World Tour.
To compliment the astounding honor from Time, Sheryl Sandberg (of Lean In and Bossy fame), wrote up Bey’s profile, and we have to admit, these two make quite the powerful pair. "Beyoncé doesn’t just sit at the table. She builds a better one … Her secret: hard work, honesty and authenticity,” Sheryl writes.
“And her answer to the question, ‘What would you do if you weren’t afraid?’ appears to be 'Watch me. I’m about to do it.' Then she adds, 'You can, too.'" Chills, you guys. Chills.
Bey also shares the title of most influential with 99 others — including a record 41 women — from Miley Cyrus, Kerry Washington, Amy Adams, Hillary Clinton, along with leading men like Pharrell Williams, Matthew McConaughey, and Seth Meyers.
Another highlight from the issue: Miley’s godmother, Dolly Parton, wrote up the young singer’s profile, and it’s the sweetest thing. "If I didn’t know how smart and talented Miley is, I might worry about her. But I’ve watched her grow up. So I don’t,” Dolly writes. “She knows what she’s doing…She doesn’t have to be so drastic. But I will respect her choices. I did it my way, so why can’t she do it her way?"
