Earlier today, news broke that Beyonce's sister Solange allegedly attacked Jay-Z in an elevator at the Met Gala — and seemingly within minutes, Twitter users began furiously speculating about what set it off. What did you expect?

#WhatJayZSaidtoSolange is full of comedy gold whether we're laughing til we cry or laughing while we're crying. This fan speculation tends to fit into a few different categories — although the best ones fall under "miscellaneous." Read on as we break down what fans are saying about the alleged fight.

100th Problem

It's pretty easy to get the gist of this riff on Jay-Z's 1993 hit "99 Problems." You know, he's "got 99 problems but a bitch ain't one"?

There are multiple variations on the joke, and eventually the jab made it to Solange's Wikipedia account.

Beyonce's the favorite (a.k.a. Blue Ivy runs the world)

Many Twitter users riffed on Beyonce far surpassing Solange in career success. Sometimes, these tweets lorded Beyonce's fame and notoriety over Solange...

Although some of these would make any little sister mad.

(That last one. Ouch!)

Solange's music career in general

Some of these disses don't have to mention Queen Bey in order to sting… although some are more on Jay-Z than Solange.

Many Twitter comedy geniuses made the setting a crucial element of the joke.

And sometimes, Solange actually came out on top of the burn.

Miscellaneous (a.k.a. the best ones)

These tweets don't conform to any particular wave of Solange and Jay-Z jokes, and since they caught us off guard, they made us laugh the hardest.

@BrianGaar blamed it on the age-old Mario Kart conflict...

And finally, our favorite, as fans of Beyonce, Solange, and the HBO series Game of Thrones.

Okay, for real though: What do you think spurred the alleged fight between Jay-Z and Solange? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
