You guys, the elevator saga of Beyoncé, Jay Z, and Solange is never-ending. Not only has the incident sparked outrage on behalf of both Jay and Bey’s little sister, but most of Hollywood is chiming in on what they think happened in those 3:27 minutes. The latest star to add her two cents to the drama? The one and only Wendy Williams, and girlfriend breaks. it. all. down.
“In my mind, Beyoncé didn’t get in the middle because Solange is probably attacking him over something that he knows he was dead wrong about,” Wendy speculates during her talk show on May 13. “Therefore [Bey] didn’t get in the middle.”
Wendy even praises Solange for supposedly sticking up for her older sister. “By the way, everybody needs a sister or cousin or something like that,” Wendy adds. “You don’t mess with Solange when it comes to Beyoncé.” #preach
In case you need a refresher, Solange allegedly attacked — and by attacked we mean, hit, kicked, even threw her metal bag at Jay — while Bey stood calmly in the lift, only to intervene after a few seconds. Why you ask? Apparently this isn’t the first time Solange lost her cool (see Rachel Roy), and rumor has it that Jay and Bey are actually “used to” it.
Wendy adds, “Beyonce and the security guard were standing there like this is nothing new between Solange and Jay Z. It didn’t look like something new, otherwise, wouldn’t you have jumped in the way, and stopped it if you were Beyoncé, [and] if there was something new?”
Now, these are some questions that need answers! But so far, it seems like we’ll never find out what what exactly happened — the Knowles are a pretty tight-lipped family. Unless, of course, someone releases the audio from that fight. Then again, who knows if that will ever make it out to the public.
“I don’t think that this couple is going to make a statement,” Wendy says, and then finishes her segment by saying, “Solange, more power to you, and Beyoncé, I wish I had a sister who would fight like that … and Jay Z, no goods gonna come to you, until...you fill in the blank.” Ouch.
