Willing to rob a bank to afford tickets to Beyoncé and Jay Z’s On the Run tour? Put the sexy mesh ski mask down!
These die-hard entrepreneurs have found a way to bring their summer of music to you — legally! You just need an HBO subscription, which should be at least a couple bucks cheaper than a concert ticket.
Look for On the Run to beam into your home later this year.
Variety reports the special will air in September and showcase the two concerts lined up for Paris on September 12 and 13. The pit stop in the City of Lights will feature more than 40 songs performed by the dynamic duo.
“This is a major musical event that belongs on HBO. It’s going to be a night to remember,” says HBO programming president Michael Lombardo, as he once again counts all the Emmy nominations Game of Thrones racked in this morning and laughs quietly into a pile of money.
Bey and Jay, of course, have already mastered the power of HBO.
Beyoncé aired her documentary Life Is But a Dream on the network back in February 2013, giving the world the first good look at baby girl Blue Ivy. HBO also debuted Jay Z’s Picasso Baby: A Performance Art Film last August.
Plus, for even more Knowles, there’s the Mrs. Carter Show World Tour special currently airing four-minute segments every Sunday night for ten weeks before True Blood. Oh, you didn’t know about Beyoncé: X10? To your TiVos now!
