With the world wondering why Beyoncé’s sister Solange allegedly attacked brother-in-law Jay Z in an elevator following the May 5 Met Gala in NYC, the Knowles-Carters are keeping quiet about the recently surfaced security video. A little further investigation into their social media accounts, however, unveils some telling details on the matter.
Beyoncé took to Instagram just two days after the reported scuffle to share the below prayer, asking for her relationships to be blessed. While this could just be a moment of random spirituality on the pop star’s part, the timing is eerily coincidental:
"Lord, I lift up every one of my relationships to You and ask You to bless them. I pray that each one would be glorifying to You. Help me to choose my friends wisely so I won't be led astray. Give me discernment and strength to separate myself from anyone who is not a good influence. I release all my relationships to You and pray that Your will be done in each one of them."
Though Bey and Solange left the after-party together — separately from Jay — things may have not been resolved between the sisters judging from Solange’s Instagram. Though it’s not clear when exactly it happened, Solange appears to have deleted almost all photos of her big sis save for two shots (here and here) — both taken more than a year ago.
If this was just an issue between Hova and his sister-in-law, why did she choose to wipe her sister from her social media? Whatever the reason, we can’t imagine it’s a good one.
Some reports say this sort of tantrum is typical for the 27-year-old, while other bystanders have recounted her lashing out at designer Rachel Roy and others at the after party prior to the elevator incident. Whatever the case, we hope they are able to sort through their issues. Family is everything, after all!
