Queen Bey is exploring Sasha Fierce’s fashionable side in the upcoming Fall issue of the CR Fashion Book — and girl is looking “Flawless” for sure. Out September 4, Beyonce’s cover story is her first collaboration with the mag, and in it she “expresses her many moods, manners, auras, and multifaceted characters.” Translation? Prepare to see Yoncé like you’ve never seen her before.
In the spread, the megastar’s looks run the gamut — she goes braless (and pantsless), dons cat ears, and even gets her Rapunzel on. But the edgy photos aren’t the only centerpiece — the piece also includes song lyrics that pay homage to daughter Blue Ivy and delve into her Sasha Fierce alter ego.
You can check out a preview of the spread here.
In one line, she refers to Blue as her “biggest muse,” writing, “There’s someone, we all find out soon, more important than ourselves to lose.” Of her stage persona Sasha, the pop star reveals, “Though we’re different as blue and red, I’m not afraid to draw from her in performance, rifts, even in bed.” Um, thanks for sharing, Bey?
CR Fashion Book teased the “Drunk in Love” singer as the cover model ahead of the reveal, showing the performer in a black-sequined mask that covered her whole head. Watch the video below then tell us what you think of B’s fashionista side in the comments:
