Big Bang Theory Cast Plans to Demand Giant Salary Increase — Report

The cast of The Big Bang Theory might just steal a move from the Friends playbook as they plan to band together and demand higher salaries.

According to, the show’s three biggest stars, Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, and Kaley Cuoco have all pledged to call for salary raises as big as a half-a-million dollars per episode for the entire season. The actors currently bring in $350,000 each per episode.

“The cast is already talking about the next round of negotiations,” a source told Radar. “They know the critical position Big Bang holds on CBS’ prime-time and the only thing preventing them getting what they want would be a spectacular ratings demise this season. That isn’t about to happen anytime soon. They’ll put on a united-front during negotiations.”

Jim, Johnny, and Kaley reportedly plan to put up a united front, just as the cast of Friends did in 2002 when they banded together and each secured a salary of $1 million per episode.

The cast members sure do have the leverage: The Big Bang Theory is the number one primetime sitcom and the highest rated syndicated show in the United States.

“What they’ve been able to achieve is a feat unheard of for a show in recent history and they all deserve to get compensated for it,” the source said.

Do you think these stars deserve higher salaries?
