The Big Bang Theory Stars Could Get $1 Million Per Episode in Season 8
The stars of The Big Bang Theory could get The Big Buck come Season 8.
The "Original Five" of the hit CBS sitcom — Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, Johnny Galecki, Simon Helberg, and Kunal Nayyar — are currently in the midst of contract negotiations with Warner Brothers, and they'll likely get huge pay bumps when all is said and done.
Jim, Kaley, and Johnny might even end up with salaries around $1 million per episode, Deadlinereports.
A source tells E! Onlinethose three are going after "Friends money," likely referring to the $1 million that the six Friends stars earned per episode during the last season of that comedy.
"It will be fine," Bing Bang creator Chuck Lorre tells the site. "Warner Brothers has done this before."
Furthermore, Chuck thinks the cast should get what they want. "Everybody should be very successful and happy and rich. They earned it. It's a great cast. Great cast. It's their time."
But it seems like the pressure is on for Warner Brothers as they near the Season 8 production start date of July 30 — especially since we get the feeling the actors hold all the cards. Because their contracts expired at the end of Season 7, they're under no obligation to show up to work.
Sounds like these sitcom superstars will be laughing their way to the bank!
