There’s one thing you don’t want to be in the Big Brother house: nominated for eviction. For the past 15 seasons, the Head of Household would nominate two houseguests for elimination each week and their one shot at being saved was to either win the Power of Veto or to have an ally win and save them from the block. This year, though, things are a little more complicated.

For starters, Big Brother 16 is the first season where there will be two Heads of Household each week. Each HOH will then nominate two houseguests for elimination (that’s four total) — but that’s not all. There is a new competition called “Battle of the Block” where the four nominees (paired up with their fellow nominee) will go head-to-head, with the winning pair getting taken off the block and dethroning the HOH who nominated them, making him/her able to be put on the block after the Power of Veto competition.

We’ll be updating this article to let you know who is nominated for eviction each week. Be sure to keep checking back for your latest Big Brother spoilers!

Week 1

The first two HOHs are: Frankie Grande and Caleb Reynolds. When it came to nominations, Frankie decided to put up Victoria Rafaeli and Brittany Martinez, while Caleb placed Donny Thompson and Paola Shea up for elimination. In the first-ever Battle of the Block competition, Victoria and Brittany won big, taking themselves off the block and dethroning Frankie in the process. That means, before taking into effect the POV, Donny and Paola are the two people in danger of eviction this week. Going into the POV competition, it seemed as though it was do or die for Donny — and he pulled out the victory! Of course he decided to use the Veto on himself, leaving Caleb no choice but to nominate another houseguest: Joey Van Pelt. This means that either Joey or Paola will be Week 1’s casualty. Joey was evicted.

Week 2

The first two HOHs were Amber Borzotra and Devin Shepherd. Devin nominated Brittany Martinez and Paola Shea. Amber nominated Hayden Voss and Nicole Franzel. Hayden and Nicole won the Battle of the Block competition thanks to Paola throwing it for Devin, so Brittany and Paola were left as nominees, with Devin as official HOH. When it came to the POV competition, Devin totally dominated and walked away with all the power this week and ended up using his power to save Brittany from the block, putting up fellow Bomb Squad member Zach Rance in her place. It was a hustle to see who would get the votes to stay, but luckily Zach prevailed and Paola was sent packing.
