Zach Rance did not go on Big Brother 16 to make friends. As he put it during his intro, "I don’t need friends because all I care about is myself."
That's not quite true, though. The 23-year-old recent University of Florida graduate is a self-described "con artist," but he also seems very close to his 10-year-old brother, who is his best friend. He said being away from his bro will be the hardest part of BB16. "I have been away in school for 5 years and I miss him everyday."
Zach seems like one of those guys who tries hard to be a character, and wants to be seen as a d-bag, but really has a mushy center. Then again, he admitted that he got punched in the face once for telling someone exactly what he thought of them. Then again, his grandma will be watching BB16 so he has to behave.
It's hard to know whether to like or loathe this guy, but the answer will probably emerge with time.
In his CBS video, Zach told Jeff his social game will be his strength. He’s said he’s a funny guy who knows how to make people feel good. He doesn’t feel like he has any downfalls. (They never do.) And if you’re wondering if he’s single, he joked, “I haven’t had a girlfriend since preschool.” He said obviously all the ladies of BB16 are going to try to get with him, but a showmance is not the way to go. “But if it happens it happens.”
(Feel free to roll your eyes at any time.)
Zach described himself as "entertaining, fearless and confident." He is currently unemployed, but he was an Economics major and his motto is "Money over everything," so … now winning Big Brother is his job. He said he wants to be a professional caddy someday, but it's probably a good idea not to take anything he says too seriously. Then again, his favorite activities are "Golf, golf and golf," he was shown golfing with his brother in his intro, and if he could he'd take his sand wedge and a golf ball into the BB house. So maybe he will be a pro caddy.
In other news, he's afraid of raccoons.
Are you Team Zach this season? Do you love him? Hate him? Somewhere in between?
